Audi Q9 2026: price, specs and release date

Audi has crowned its SUV lineup with the new Q9 — the largest series-production car the brand has ever built. It measures 5.31 metres long, with a 3.14-metre wheelbase. Orders open in Germany from the end of July, with market launch set for November 2026. The entry-level Q9 TDI is priced from €108,400, or roughly $123,600.

Seven seats come as standard. Instead of the second-row bench, buyers can order two individual power-adjustable seats for a six-seat layout. Standard equipment also includes five-zone climate control, powered doors and a panoramic roof spanning more than 1.5 m² — the largest Audi has ever fitted.

At launch, the German market gets a three-litre diesel V6 producing 299 hp and 630 Nm of torque, paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and an electric compressor; claimed fuel consumption is 7.4–8.0 l/100 km. Quattro all-wheel drive, air suspension and rear-axle steering are all standard. The Q9 can tow up to 3.5 tonnes.

An adaptive driving assistant can handle steering, acceleration and braking on approved motorway and highway stretches without the driver having to keep hold of the wheel — up to 130 km/h. At launch, the feature is confirmed for Germany, the US and Canada. Other highlights include automatic doors and curved digital OLED tail-light panels.

Select markets will also get the SQ9 with a four-litre V8. The US-spec version produces 591 hp — about 600 metric hp — and roughly 800 Nm, sprinting to 100 km/h in four seconds. Germany isn’t among the confirmed SQ9 markets in the release. The Q9 family is built in Bratislava, where Audi also produces the Q7 and Q8.
