EBRO s800 PHEV 2027: price, electric range and what has changed

A square-pattern grille is the main giveaway of the EBRO s800 PHEV for the 2027 model year and the brand’s attempt to visually separate the crossover from the Chinese Chery Tiggo 8 it is based on. The Spanish marque says the geometric motif was inspired by the street grid of Barcelona. No other notable body changes have been announced.

Interior: black headliner and a powered passenger seat

The cabin gains a black headliner. In the range-topping Luxury trim the front passenger seat now offers six-way power adjustment, including height. The seven-seat layout stays, so the car remains a 5+2 family SUV.

EBRO s800 PHEV specs: 279 hp and 90 km of electric range

The powertrain is essentially untouched. The hybrid combines a 1.5 TGDI turbo petrol engine with an electric drive for a combined 279 hp. An 18.3 kWh battery delivers up to 90 km of electric range on the WLTP cycle. Total claimed range reaches 1100 km, 0–100 km/h takes 8.5 seconds and DC charging from 30 to 80% needs 19 minutes.

So this is not a technical overhaul: power, battery and electric range are unchanged. The point is to lift the perception of the interior and give the model features of its own without touching a relatively fresh hybrid platform.

How much the s800 PHEV costs and when 2027 prices arrive

EBRO has not announced prices for the 2027 model year. The current s800 PHEV starts at 31,990 euros in Spain with brand financing and the subsidy included. Without financing the recommended price is 38,545 euros for Premium and 39,545 euros for Luxury. Those figures cannot be carried over to the updated version yet.

EBRO covers its models with a seven-year or 150,000 km warranty. The current s800 PHEV comes with a 15.6-inch screen, a panoramic roof, a surround-view camera system, up to nine airbags and a package of 24 electronic assistance systems.

EBRO crossovers are built at the former Nissan site in Barcelona with technology input from Chery. The plant assembles the s400, s700, s800 and s900, and a new production line is meant to deepen localisation and prepare the factory for electric cars.

The Barcelona plant is moving from knock-down assembly to full-cycle production, and the brand is widening its sales map at the same time: in July EBRO announced its entry into Croatia and Slovenia, and it already sells its full range from the s400 to the s900 in Bulgaria.

The updated s800 remains first and foremost a rebadged, locally assembled Chery product. The new grille makes it easier to recognise, but the real distance between the Spanish and Chinese versions will be set by future engineering changes and the depth of localisation.
