2026 Honda Accord Facelift Japan: New Price and What Changed

Honda raised prices on both Japan-market Accord grades by 352,000 yen without changing the hybrid powertrain. New pricing: 5,951,000 yen for the base e:HEV and 6,351,400 yen for Sensing 360+.

Honda has updated the Accord for the Japanese market and raised the price of both grades by 352,000 yen at the same time. The base e:HEV is now priced at 5,951,000 yen, while the Honda Sensing 360+ version costs 6,351,400 yen.

Before the update, the same grades cost 5,599,000 and 5,999,400 yen respectively. That means the base Accord got about 6.3% more expensive, while the top grade rose by about 5.9% — the direct currency math aside from shipping, customs and registration costs that would apply outside Japan.

Honda left the technical side untouched. The Accord still uses a two-motor e:HEV hybrid system paired with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine running on the Atkinson cycle. Power goes through an electric CVT to the front wheels.

The main changes are cosmetic. All versions now get clear side markers, body-colored headlight garnishes, and new front, side and rear lower trim pieces. The Honda Sensing 360+ grade also gets a redesigned front grille and roof antenna.

The changes are modest, especially given the price bump. Earlier, SPEEDME.RU noted that in a comparison of the Honda Accord Hybrid and Toyota Camry Hybrid, the Japanese sedan wins on road-test results but trails Toyota on predicted reliability and cost.

The top grade keeps Honda Sensing 360+ with a hands-off driving feature. It only works under set conditions on expressways and motorways, with adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping active. It's not a full self-driving system: the driver must keep watching the road and be ready to take back control.

The gap between the two grades is 400,400 yen. For that, buyers get an expanded suite of driver assistants, including lane-change support, a warning for entering a curve too fast, oncoming-traffic alerts when opening doors, and a system that stops the car if the driver stops responding.

The update arrives in the Accord's 50th anniversary year: the first generation appeared in 1976. Honda is also doubling down on gas-electric hybrids — SPEEDME.RU previously reported on the brand's plan to launch 15 new hybrid models by the end of fiscal year 2029.

Sales of the updated Honda Accord in Japan begin on July 31, 2026. Some paint colors will cost an extra 44,000 yen.
