Kia Vision Meta Turismo Shooting Brake 2026: What the Wagon Concept Video Shows

A new Kia design video shows the Vision Meta Turismo concept with a long, flat roofline that hints at a possible shooting-brake variant — though it remains a design study for now.

Kia has shown an alternative design direction for its Vision Meta Turismo concept. A branded video about the design process reveals a three-dimensional model with a long, nearly horizontal roofline, reworked glazing and a more pronounced cargo area. Drive interpreted it as a possible estate, though for now it remains only a design study.

The front end of the digital model keeps the main cues of the show car, while the roof has grown longer and flatter. Such a layout could give a production car a more practical boot and extra headroom in the back. At the same time, engineers would have to rework aerodynamics, weight and body rigidity from scratch — especially if the car ends up as an EV.

The Vision Meta Turismo itself debuted in Korea in December 2025, with a full international unveiling following at Milan Design Week in April 2026. Kia describes it as an electric grand tourer for the digital generation, combining sporty handling, augmented reality and a cabin that shifts between Speedster, Dreamer and Gamer modes.

Kia has not attached the Stinger name to the concept. The link to the old rear-wheel-drive fastback rests on how the car is positioned: a low body, a driver-focused layout and a bet on emotional driving. The Stinger itself was never sold as a wagon, so a version like this would be a standalone product rather than a direct revival of the old model.

We already covered the Milan debut of the Vision Meta Turismo, where Kia showed off the original body and the cabin’s digital architecture. The new clip widens the range of possible shapes but does not confirm any change to the product plan.

On Kia’s official site, the car is still labeled a concept. The company warns that the design, equipment and specs of any production version could differ from the prototype shown. So it is too early to talk about a finished Stinger wagon: the next confirmation would need to come from patents, road-going prototypes or the model’s inclusion in the production lineup.
