Peregryn GT-R 2027: price, specs and 0-60 time

Peregryn Automotive is preparing a mid-engine GT-R in the US with an unusual power-to-weight ratio: around 700 hp at a claimed 2,100 lbs (953 kg) dry weight. According to Motor1, the company acquired the rights and tooling of Britain's Ultima and plans to start deliveries of the American-built cars in 2027.

The GT-R will use a GM LS- or LT-series V8 and a sequential gearbox. Target output is around 700 hp. A 0-60 mph sprint is claimed at 2.2 seconds. For now this is the manufacturer's own estimate — there are no independent tests yet.

The estimated price is $195,000. For comparison, the current 2027 Corvette ZR1 already starts at $197,700 — a difference of just $2,700.

Meanwhile, Chevrolet offers a 5.5-liter twin-turbo LT7 V8 rated at 1,064 hp and officially claims a 2.3-second 0-60 time. In other words, Peregryn is trying to offset a nearly 350-hp deficit with an extremely low curb weight.

For now, the comparison exists only on paper. The Corvette has series production, a factory warranty, and confirmed figures, while Peregryn still has to prove its final weight, power, build quality, and that claimed 2.2-second run. For a low-volume supercar, those numbers will matter more than the promise of “driving like a ZR1.”

The 2027 Corvette ZR1's 1,064-hp LT7 has already set the bar for GM-powered supercar performance, which is exactly the target Peregryn is chasing with a far lighter, leaner package.
