Lynk & Co 03 2026 update: new 1.5T engine power, specs and price

Lynk & Co is preparing a more powerful base version of the 03 sedan. A Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology filing reveals a car with a new 1.5-liter turbo engine, the BHE15-GFZ, rated at 148 kW, or about 201 hp. The current 1.5T produces 181 hp, so the gain amounts to roughly 20 hp without stepping up to the pricier 2.0-liter engine.

There's no major overhaul in size: length is listed at 4,700 mm and the wheelbase at 2,730 mm. Curb weight is given as 1,470 or 1,512 kg depending on trim, with a top speed of 205 km/h. The car is offered with 17-, 18- and 19-inch wheels, and the options list includes a two-tone body, different bumpers, brakes and a rear wing.

The main change is under the hood. Right now, the Chinese-market Lynk & Co 03 with the 1.5T engine comes in three trims priced from 121,800 to 136,800 yuan, with a rated WLTC fuel consumption of 6.35 L/100 km. The more powerful 2.0T makes 272 hp and 400 Nm and starts at 156,800 yuan.

After the update, the gap between the two engines will shrink from 91 hp to roughly 71 hp. That makes the future 1.5T a more appealing option for buyers who find today's 181 hp lacking but don't want to pay extra for the 2.0T. What's still unknown is whether torque, acceleration and fuel consumption will change, and whether the current price will hold.

The car's appearance in the 410th batch of MIIT certification filings confirms the version is being prepared for market, but that alone isn't an announcement of a sales launch.
