ORA Good Cat 2026 price, range and specs: what changed since the ORA 03 launch

At the Chengdu Auto Show, a SPEEDME.RU correspondent visited the Great Wall Motor stand, where the current ORA Good Cat — a compact electric hatchback known to export markets as the ORA 03 — was on display. The car shown was finished in bright blue with black 18-inch wheels and contrasting yellow brake calipers.

Despite its retro styling with round “cat” headlights, the current Good Cat feels noticeably more modern inside than the early cars. A separate digital instrument cluster sits ahead of the driver, with a large infotainment display in the center. Higher trims get 10.25-inch and 14.6-inch screens, and the infotainment system runs on Coffee OS 3. Physical buttons haven’t disappeared entirely — a row of metal toggle switches remains below the central display.

The Chinese Good Cat is offered with front-wheel drive and two motor options. The base version produces 105 kW (143 hp) and 210 Nm, while the higher-output version delivers 126 kW (171 hp) and 220 Nm. CLTC-cycle range is 401 km and 430 km respectively, and charging the battery from 30% to 80% takes as little as 30 minutes. Top speed is capped at 150 km/h.

The most powerful versions measure 4,242x1,825x1,632 mm, with a 2,650 mm wheelbase. That makes it a small city EV, though its wheelbase is on par with plenty of larger, higher-class cars.

The most interesting part is the price. In China, the current ORA Good Cat officially costs 83,800–103,800 yuan, roughly $11,600–$14,400 at current exchange rates. That’s a straight conversion of the Chinese price, before any local taxes, logistics, or other costs that apply on export markets.

The Good Cat is particularly interesting for international buyers because it’s already familiar under the ORA 03 name. Great Wall Motor began official sales of the model on several export markets back in 2023. The current Chinese version differs from the originally exported car mainly in interior design, infotainment, and the range of trim levels on offer.

Against the backdrop of newer ORA models, the current Good Cat is no longer the brand’s headline debut at Chengdu, but it neatly illustrates how differently the same car is positioned at home versus abroad: in China it’s an EV priced around $12,000, while on export markets it ends up significantly more expensive.
