Only 30 of the 2025 Kia K4 and Sorento are recalled after mis-torqued connecting rod bolts may cause engine stall. Dealers will repair free from Sept 12, 2025.

Kia has announced a recall of a limited batch of 2025 K4 and Sorento vehicles. The campaign covers just 30 units, yet the potential consequences make the issue hard to dismiss.

According to the manufacturer, the engine’s connecting rod bolts on these cars may have been tightened incorrectly. In the worst case, that could trigger an engine shutdown and bring the vehicle to a halt while in motion.

To fix the defect, dealers will replace the lower part of the powertrain at no cost to owners. Official notification letters are set to go out starting September 12, 2025. The small scope is reassuring, but a stall risk demands prompt attention—and the chosen remedy signals a thorough approach.
