Range Rover Electric price in Spain: EV550 HSE versus P550e HSE

The price gap between the electric and plug-in hybrid Range Rover has unexpectedly narrowed to just €7,050. In Spain, the 550 hp EV550 HSE is priced at €179,750, while the equally powerful P550e HSE costs €172,700. The gap is even smaller for the Autobiography versions at €6,650. The entry-level EV450 SE starts at €163,250 and costs €11,000 more than the P460e.

In return, EV buyers get a battery with 118.5 kWh of usable capacity, all-wheel drive and up to 600 km of WLTP range. Range Rover's official Spanish website says that, when using a 350 kW DC fast-charging station, a 10–80% charge takes about 22 minutes, while ten minutes can add up to 220 km of estimated range.

JLR's European release also confirms the 800-volt architecture and 118.5 kWh usable battery capacity. The Range Rover Electric has already reached other European markets: in the UK it starts at £154,070, The British launch and JLR's in-house battery production have already been covered separately.

The Spanish price list adds a more interesting point to the debut: in comparable 550 hp versions, choosing between the EV and the PHEV is already becoming much less about price. Buyers are effectively deciding whether they need a petrol engine for long trips without charging stops, or a fully electric powertrain with up to 600 km WLTP range and much faster DC charging.
