Denza Z9GT price, 860 km range and 850 kW tri-motor specifications

Denza has cut the entry price of the tri-motor Z9GT by 40,000 yuan. The new e3 Flash Charge trim costs 329,800 yuan in China. That is 10.8% less than the e3 Performance at 369,800 yuan.

The powertrain has not been downgraded. Three electric motors produce a combined 850 kW, or about 1,156 PS, and 1210 Nm. The Z9GT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, its rear wheels can steer independently, and the minimum turning radius is 4.62 metres.

The savings come from equipment changes. The Performance version's carbon-ceramic brake discs are replaced by ventilated cast-iron discs, and some cabin features have also been removed. The new version keeps the same second-generation 122.5 kWh Blade Battery and is rated at 860 km CLTC, compared with 820 km for the more expensive Performance.

The Z9GT became the first production model to use BYD's second-generation Blade Battery and Flash Charging system. The headline claims of five minutes of charging and nine minutes to almost full need context: earlier BYD tests referred to roughly 10–70% in five minutes and 10–97% in nine. At −30 °C, the Z9GT charged from 20% to 97% in 12 minutes.
