Lexus GX 550 2027 price and specifications in the U.S.

The 2027 Lexus GX 550 keeps its 349-hp twin-turbo V6 but raises U.S. prices across all six trims, while adding standard SmartAccess and more seat ventilation.

Lexus has left the GX almost unchanged mechanically for the 2027 model year, but it has rewritten the entire U.S. price list. The base GX 550 Premium now costs $69,085. For the 2026 model year, the same trim started at $68,335, an increase of $750, or about 1.1%.

The GX 550 Overtrail+ rises the most, from $83,445 to $85,010, a jump of $1,565, or roughly 1.9%. Premium+ adds $600, Luxury and Luxury+ each rise by $800, and Overtrail by $750. The powertrain is unchanged: all six trims use a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 rated at 349 hp, a 10-speed automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel drive.

The update focuses on equipment. SmartAccess for all four doors and the liftgate is now standard across the range, while Luxury, Luxury+ and Overtrail+ get ventilated outboard second-row seats as standard. A hybrid version has not been announced for the official U.S. 2027 lineup at the time of publication.

The new pricing also shifts the GX slightly within the premium body-on-frame SUV segment. In August, a potential Lincoln SUV priced at around $70,000 was being compared with the GX 550 and Defender 110. The entry-level Lexus has now moved close to that threshold at $69,085.

For the 2027 model year, the GX is therefore less a technical overhaul than a targeted reshuffle of equipment and pricing. Overtrail+ gets the largest increase, while Lexus has not announced a hybrid version for the official U.S. range.
