Li Auto i9 2026: price, range and specifications

The 2026 Li Auto i9 has officially launched in China at 369,800 yuan. For a vehicle measuring 5.23 metres long, the step up in price is unusually small: the all-wheel-drive i8 Performance costs 339,800 yuan, so moving to the larger i9 requires another 30,000 yuan, or 8.8%.

The Li Auto i9 price came in below expectations

The final price is even lower than the cautious pre-launch estimate. Before the premiere, the i9 was expected to cost roughly 400,000–500,000 yuan. The actual 369,800 yuan price is 30,200 yuan, or about 7.6%, below the bottom of that range.

Dimensions and cabin: 5.23 metres and six seats

The i9 is also noticeably larger than the i8. It measures 5225 mm long with a 3168 mm wheelbase, respectively 140 and 118 mm more. The six-seat cabin has four zero-gravity seats, while the second-row seats can swivel to create a face-to-face social area with the third row.

705 km CLTC, 5C charging and a fully steerable chassis

The powertrain does not set a range record within the family. A 101 kWh battery provides up to 705 km on the Chinese CLTC cycle, while the i8 can cover 720–780 km depending on version. The 5C battery can, according to the company, add roughly 500 km of driving range in ten minutes. Two electric motors produce 400 kW, about 544 hp, and 660 Nm; 0–100 km/h takes 4.9 seconds.

For a five-metre SUV, the chassis is particularly notable. Dual-chamber, dual-valve air suspension, steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering are standard. The minimum turning diameter is quoted at 10.6 metres. The standard driver-assistance system uses one in-house Mach M100 processor and one lidar. An optional package adds a second M100 and three more lidars: its regular price is 30,000 yuan, with a launch-period price of 20,000 yuan.

Li Auto brought the i9 to market in mid-September, as previously promised. The newcomer becomes the flagship SUV in the brand’s battery-electric lineup.

What the i9 means beyond the Chinese market

Li Auto is also widening the geographical reach of its electric models: the electric i6 is being prepared for Europe under the Li 6 name. The Chinese i9 price should therefore not be treated as an indication of future pricing elsewhere, where import costs, taxes and local margins can materially change the final figure.
