Hyundai Sonata The Edge 2027: prices and Black N Line versions in Korea

Hyundai launches the 2027 Sonata The Edge in Korea from 28.76 million won. Black N Line brings N Line styling to 2.0 and 1.6 Turbo cars, while the 2.5 Turbo N Line stays separate.

Hyundai Sonata The Edge 2027 now starts at 28.76 million won in South Korea. The main visual addition is the new Black N Line at 36.75 million won, but there is an important distinction: this is primarily a styling trim, not the most powerful Sonata.

Black N Line is based on the Inspiration trim and combines its equipment with N Line exterior details. Hyundai added black badges, black model lettering and 19-inch matte-black wheels. The true gasoline N Line with the 2.5-liter turbo engine remains a separate model priced at 39.41 million won.

That distinction matters when reading the Korean price list. Black N Line can also be ordered with regular powertrains: the 2.0-liter version costs 36.75 million won, while the 1.6 Turbo is 37.41 million won. Hyundai is effectively offering the sporty look without requiring buyers to move to the most powerful engine.

The rest of the range changes only in details. On the S trim, the front passenger seat now gets standard four-way power adjustment, Relaxation Comfort mode and a driver-side control function. The popular Exclusive trim gains the Camel interior color that was previously reserved for Inspiration.

The hybrid starts at 33.28 million won after the tax benefit. Inspiration is priced at 40.52 million won. For the hybrid Black N Line, Hyundai has so far announced only the pre-benefit price of 42.12 million won; the final amount will be disclosed after the eco-friendly vehicle certification process is completed.

In the midsize-sedan segment, Sonata continues to compete with Toyota Camry and Honda Accord. Consumer Reports includes Sonata among its recommended models in the class, but this update is focused mainly on equipment and visual variety rather than changing the car's technical concept.

Sonata The Edge 2027 is a model-year update rather than a new generation or facelift. The key change is the broader range: buyers can now get N Line styling without having to buy the 2.5 Turbo.
