Haval has begun rolling out the first OTA update for the second-generation Xiaolong MAX. The upgrade package targets infotainment, navigation, and driver assistance, sharpening the focus on smart capabilities—a defining theme of the 2025 car market. The headline for owners is Apple CarPlay support with synchronized navigation across three displays, including the instrument cluster and the HUD. It makes daily driving simpler and cuts down on the urge to look away from the road.

In parallel, HUAWEI HiCar and ICCOA Carlink have been updated with support for popular apps and AI assistants. Navigation based on Gaode Map moves to version 8.1.0: it now shows parking and charging information, traffic conditions, and can automatically adapt the style of voice prompts depending on the situation. The system also adds parking suggestions and guidance for the last 600 meters to your destination—small touches that prove especially useful in big cities.

The assistance software has progressed as well: route memory appears, traffic sign and traffic light recognition is improved, and functions for automatic lane changes and obstacle avoidance are added. On the media side, there are AI wallpapers, and the dashcam now supports external storage up to 512 GB.

All told, this OTA feels purposeful—more than cosmetic, it genuinely boosts day-to-day usability. Moves like these bring Haval closer to the benchmark of truly advanced smart cars and keep rivals from China and Korea on their toes.
