Lucid Motors is gearing up to launch a more attainable take on its electric flagship: the Gravity Touring. The company has confirmed that deliveries will begin in December 2025, even as it navigates production headwinds.

Interim chief Mark Winterhoff acknowledged that output is still short of target because of shortages of aluminum, magnets, and microchips. Even so, Lucid expects Gravity to be the headline act of the fourth quarter and to lift overall deliveries. The strategy reads as a pragmatic move: concentrate resources on the model with the strongest pull.

Until now, Lucid has released only the top-spec Gravity Grand Touring, priced from $94,900. The Touring version will go on sale at $15,000 less while keeping most of the flagship’s attributes. That price gap broadens the appeal without hollowing out what makes the model desirable.

Lucid has yet to share the full technical details of the Touring. For reference, the Grand Touring can travel up to 725 km on a charge and offers up to 3.4 cubic meters of cargo space—more than a Ford Explorer. That mix suggests everyday usability matters here as much as headline range.

According to company representatives, October marked a turning point: build and delivery rates are climbing, and demand for the Gravity is steadily rising. Lucid is counting on the more accessible Gravity Touring to bring in new buyers and strengthen its position in the premium electric SUV segment. If that momentum holds, Touring could be the catalyst that moves the brand beyond early adopters.
