McLaren has unveiled the one-off 750S Project Viva, a unique supercar crafted by MSO. Based on the 750S and inspired by the energy of Las Vegas, it channels that theme in an unexpected way: not with familiar neon, but in monochrome. The choice underscores a brand philosophy built on challenging convention and pursuing a new design language. The hand-painted “Sketch in Motion” livery uses black-and-white lines to capture the city’s architecture, rhythm, and character. Silhouettes of iconic signs, musical motifs, and urban details come together as a visual narrative where motorsport heritage intersects with contemporary design. The bodywork wears MSO signature tones: Muriwai White for the doors and panels, and a new shade called Vegas Nights created specifically for Project Viva. This deep black carries microflakes of blue, green, and purple, echoing the sparkle of night lights. The monochrome palette ends up more expressive than a neon cliché, letting the shapes and story take the lead. The project also carries personal touches: McLaren F1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri added their own lines and small sketches to the bodywork. A star on the rear bumper marks the team’s tenth Constructors’ Cup, a discreet nod to a winning season. These details enhance its collectible allure and emphasize the bridge between road cars and the racing program—subtle gestures that often speak louder than bold graphics.Project Viva shows how a supercar can step into the realm of art. With its singular execution and meticulous detailing, it stands out as one of the most distinctive McLarens of our time.
