The 2027 GMC Sierra prototype has been spotted for the first time during road testing with a trailer in tow. The truck appears in a Crew Cab configuration with a short bed and wears full-body camouflage, making it tough to pin down the exact trim. Judging by its stance and visible hardware, it doesn’t look like an AT4X or a Denali Ultimate, yet it’s clearly a step above the base Pro. The most plausible guesses point to Elevation or Denali.

Thick vinyl cladding hides the doors and fenders along the sides, while the overall proportions closely echo the current Sierra 1500—though hidden revisions are clearly in play. One curious detail stands out: the rear tires wear a more aggressive tread than the fronts, a mismatch that could be linked to the demands of tow testing. At the back, new taillight and tailgate shapes remain under wraps, but a quad exhaust is plainly visible, a detail that tends to catch the eye even through the disguise.
