Subaru is preparing to expand its electric lineup in Europe: alongside the familiar Solterra, the new Uncharted is set to launch in spring 2026. The first market signals are already coming from the Netherlands, where pricing and configurations have been announced. The model is pitched as a sportier, more potent alternative in the compact segment, pairing 211 mm of ground clearance with a coupe-like silhouette.

In layout, the Uncharted clearly follows the Japanese tradition of joint projects with Toyota, yet Subaru highlights its own touches: a flat floor, a long wheelbase, a 404-liter trunk and electronic off-road modes. The cabin lists a 14-inch central screen, two wireless charging pads, an unconventional square steering wheel and paddles to adjust regeneration. On all-wheel-drive versions, a multi-angle camera helps on difficult surfaces by showing the area ahead as if the hood were transparent. The choices come across as practical rather than showy, which suits the brief.

For the Netherlands, the range comprises three versions. The base front-wheel-drive model with 167 hp gets a 57.7 kWh battery and up to 455 km of range, priced from 37,900 euros. The longer-range front-wheel-drive option with 224 hp fits a 77 kWh battery and promises up to 585 km, starting at 42,900 euros. The flagship pairs all-wheel drive with two motors for a combined 343 hp and the same 77 kWh battery: 0–100 km/h in 5.0 s, up to 525 km of range, from 48,900 euros. Fast charging is listed as standard, with a 10–80% top-up in around 30 minutes, and operation promised even at −10°C; the onboard charger is rated at 22 kW. On paper, the package sets clear expectations for both daily use and longer hauls.

Subaru also notes that the Uncharted is the first of three electric models for Europe, with an updated Solterra and an all-electric Outback slated to follow in 2026.
