At the 2025 Chengdu Auto Show, Changan unveiled a refreshed take on one of its most successful crossovers, the CS55 Plus. Officially billed as the fourth generation, in essence it’s a deep revision of the current car. The update brings the styling in step with the larger CS75 Plus and is clearly aimed at holding ground in a packed segment. The premiere took place on August 29, and, according to SPEEDME.RU reporters on site, the first units had already arrived at dealerships several weeks before the show — шаг that looks pragmatic and well-timed.The CS55 Plus wears a markedly reworked face. Up front, a large trapezoidal grille pairs with an LED light bar linking the headlights. The lighting is now vertical with signature DRLs, while the new bumper adds sizable air intakes and a decorative apron. In profile, the familiar floating-roof silhouette remains, but the plastic cladding is more expressive. At the rear, the crossover gets intricate taillamps and a redesigned bumper. The proportions are unchanged, yet the overall impression is noticeably more modern and assertive without losing the model’s identity.There are fewer changes inside, but they sharpen the tech vibe. The center console has gone minimalist: several physical buttons are gone, their functions moved to the multimedia screen. The digital instrument cluster and infotainment display now sit under a single pane of glass. The interface has been updated, and integration with the Deepal smart home system is added. Among the features are adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, a surround-view camera setup, and an upgraded automated parking assistant. Enhanced sound insulation in the engine bay and wheel arches raises acoustic comfort — a small tweak with a big everyday payoff.Under the hood sits a 1.5-liter turbo making about 188 hp and 300 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The base version is priced at roughly 110,000–120,000 yuan (about 1.24–1.35 million rubles), while top trims with all-wheel drive and a broader set of driver aids may reach 150,000–160,000 yuan. At launch, trade-in programs and an extended warranty will be available.
