The American organization Consumer Reports has released an updated owner satisfaction rating. For the third year in a row, the brand Rivian took first place. This rating is based on a survey asking owners whether they would buy the same vehicle again, considering factors like price, comfort, reliability, performance, and costs.Even though Rivian again ranked among the worst for reliability out of 26 brands, customer satisfaction remains the highest. BMW secured second place. The top ten also included Subaru, Tesla, Ford, Genesis, Lexus, Toyota, Honda, and Chevrolet.Rivian led in the comfort and usability categories. Consumer Reports highlighted the high-quality finish and thoughtful interior design of the 2026 model year R1S and R1T. In handling, the brand came in second, trailing Tesla. For total ownership costs, Tesla and Rivian claimed the top two spots.However, based on internal Consumer Reports assessments, the expected value of the R1S and R1T is described as average. Among tested three-row electric SUVs, the R1S ranked sixth out of eight, while the R1T placed fourth out of four electric pickups.
