Spy photos have surfaced online showing a camouflaged test prototype of an SUV from the MAEXTRO brand, which is part of the Harmony Intelligent Mobility ecosystem. The vehicle is completely covered in camouflage, but its silhouette reveals a large, almost monumental body with straight lines and a high hood.

According to preliminary assessments by Chinese automotive experts, this new model could be targeting the ultra-luxury segment and might even be positioned as a competitor to the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The images show a massive front end and traditional side mirrors instead of cameras.

The SUV is expected to feature signature split headlights and will likely be equipped with the latest Huawei ADS 4.1 autonomous driving system or a newer version. It is also anticipated to include the HarmonySpace 5 multimedia platform, which offers enhanced smart cabin capabilities.

Previously, representatives from JAC Group confirmed that, in addition to the S800 sedan, the MAEXTRO brand would introduce larger and more expensive MPV and SUV models. This new off-roader could therefore become the flagship of the lineup and one of the most technologically advanced vehicles in the Chinese luxury segment for 2026.

If MAEXTRO truly aims to compete at the Cullinan level, it would mark a significant move by the Chinese automotive industry into the premium class. The key question is whether this newcomer can successfully blend status, Huawei's technology, and the flawless craftsmanship that is critically important in the ultra-luxury segment.
