Wey has officially unveiled its new large crossover, the V9X. This model marks the brand's first vehicle built on the GWM One architecture and stands as one of its most technologically advanced PHEV crossovers. The design introduces a fresh visual direction, featuring a closed-off grille, a full-width light bar with a welcome effect, an illuminated logo, and a LiDAR sensor integrated into the front module, signaling an advanced driver-assistance suite. Below, there's an active aerodynamic grille and the brand's signature blue lighting for its assistive systems.

The side profile showcases a dual shoulder line and a contrasting two-tone paint scheme. At the rear, horizontal full-width taillights and signature blue elements echo the front lighting. The dimensions are substantial: 5,299 mm in length, 2,025 mm in width, and 1,825 mm in height, with a 3,150 mm wheelbase. This effectively positions it as an S-class minivan executed in a premium SUV format.

Inside, the cabin is centered around three displays: a digital instrument cluster, a large central screen, and a separate multimedia display for the front passenger. The second row features captain's chairs with a relaxation mode and foldable, backlit screens. Wireless charging is available both up front and in the second row.

The hybrid powertrain is based on a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 175 kW, supplemented by an additional electric motor. This setup enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.4 seconds in EV mode and 4.7 seconds in hybrid mode. According to MIIT data, the claimed electric-only ranges are 240 km and 363 km. Importantly, the platform is designed for 800-volt architecture and 6C batteries, which could potentially extend the range beyond 400 km and allow for up to 200 km of charge in just 5 minutes.

Overall, the V9X is positioned as Wey's new flagship and a key project for GWM in the premium hybrid segment, aiming to strengthen its competition against large PHEV models from Li Auto and Hongqi.
