GMC plans to end production of the 2026 model year Hummer EV on December 11, 2026, though this date remains tentative and could change.

The electric vehicle comes in both Pickup and SUV versions. Production began in July 2025 but was later temporarily halted at Factory Zero to adjust volumes in response to shifting demand. These pauses have extended the model's lifecycle beyond a typical model year.

For the 2026 version, the off-roader has received several updates. Notably, it now features new safety systems and an upgraded multimedia system that no longer supports Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. New exterior and interior color options have also been introduced, including a limited Carbon Fiber Edition. Built on the GM BT1 platform, the Hummer EV is available in 2X and 3X configurations.

Details on when dealers will stop taking orders have not yet been announced. Overall, the Hummer EV stands out as a significant player in the premium SUV segment for 2026, offering an electric alternative to traditional off-road vehicles.
