Cupra continues to strengthen its position in the electric vehicle segment with the updated Born model, now available for order in Europe. The refresh brings several key improvements across design and technical specifications.

Updated Design and Interior

Externally, the Cupra Born looks more aggressive thanks to revised bumpers and new Matrix LED lighting. The rear features an updated light signature with an illuminated logo, adding a premium touch to the car's appearance.

Inside, a key change is the return of physical buttons on the steering wheel, a feature owners have long requested. The cabin also gains a new 12.9-inch central screen with a faster Android-based interface, complemented by a digital instrument cluster and an augmented reality head-up display.

Three Versions and Up to 631 km of Range

The lineup has been simplified to three versions. The base Born Plus delivers 190 horsepower with a 58 kWh battery, offering a range of 484 km. The mid-range Endurance version offers 231 horsepower and an impressive 627 km range, placing it among the longest-range vehicles in its class.

The top-tier Born VZ version develops 326 horsepower while maintaining up to 631 km of range thanks to its 79 kWh battery. This balance of power and endurance makes the model an interesting option for those considering which electric vehicle to buy in 2026.

Pricing and Positioning

In Europe, the starting price is around €40,070, with the top version priced at €49,650. A more affordable variant is expected in the future to broaden the model's appeal.

Against competitors like Volkswagen and Hyundai, the Cupra Born strengthens its position in the best passenger car segment by offering a combination of design, technology, and range.

The updated Born demonstrates how quickly standards are rising in the electric vehicle market. Today, simply being electric isn't enough—vehicles must deliver maximum range and convenience, or buyers will opt for more versatile alternatives.
