American electric vehicle manufacturer Lucid will enter the UK market in 2027 with a new crossover called the Cosmos. This model will compete with the BMW iX3 and Volvo EX60, marking the debut of the brand's midsize vehicle lineup. The Cosmos is built on a new platform featuring an 800-volt architecture and is equipped with more compact and efficient electric motors compared to the company's current models. Production will take place at a factory in Saudi Arabia. The vehicle is being developed from the outset with right-hand drive, which will facilitate a quicker launch in the British market. A more practical version of the Cosmos is also expected. The company remains committed to a full electrification strategy and is not considering hybrid technologies. Despite modest sales in Europe, the focus is on new midsize vehicles, which are anticipated to boost demand and strengthen the brand's position.
