2027 Kia Niro Price: Full Trim Breakdown, LX to SX Touring

The redesigned Kia Niro is noticeably more expensive than its predecessor, even before destination and taxes. In the US, the 2027 Niro now starts at $29,890, up from $27,390 for the base 2026 Niro. That is a flat $2,500 increase, or 9.1%, even though the hybrid powertrain still makes 139 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.

This part of the update stayed unknown until pricing was published: back in July, Kia had already revealed the new styling, the ccNC infotainment system, and expanded ADAS, but left pricing out. The lineup now spans five front-wheel-drive trims: LX at $29,890, a new S at $30,590, EX at $31,390, SX at $35,440, and SX Touring at $38,990. Destination is a separate $1,495.

And it was not just the base trim that got pricier. EX went up $1,200, SX by $2,050, and SX Touring jumped $3,200 over the comparable 2026 trims. In other words, the biggest dollar increase lands on the range-topping Niro.

There is no power bump to offset the higher price. The Niro keeps its naturally aspirated 1.6-liter engine, electric motor, front-wheel drive, and six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Official specs list 139 horsepower, 195 lb-ft of torque, and a 1.32-kWh battery. Instead of chasing more output, Kia reworked the suspension tuning, sound insulation, and equipment list, adding available Highway Driving Assist 2, a 360-degree camera, and Blind-Spot View Monitor.

So the refreshed American Niro is not selling extra power — it is selling newer electronics and a fresher design. The clearest illustration is the LX: once the mandatory destination charge is added, it effectively starts at $31,385.
