For instance, serial production of the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport is slated to begin in the second quarter of 2026. However, dealers reportedly won't be able to order the hybrid 2027 Corvette Grand Sport X until later this year.All 2027 Corvette variants will continue to use the GM Y2 platform. The 2027 model year will also introduce a new naturally aspirated 6.7-liter V8 LS6 engine, replacing the 6.2-liter V8 LT2. This new engine will be featured in the C8 Stingray, C8 Grand Sport, and C8 Grand Sport X. The new powerplant is estimated to produce 535 horsepower. With the addition of an electric motor, the new Grand Sport X will deliver a combined output of 721 horsepower.
