Chery continues to strengthen its position in the premium segment and is preparing a significant new model for Europe. The Exlantix ES GT will debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show—an electric shooting brake openly aimed at competing with German brands. This new vehicle is based on the ES sedan but features a more dynamic body with a pronounced sporty roofline. The design clearly shows hints of Porsche, from its proportions to the full-width LED light bar at the rear. At the same time, the model retains the practicality of an estate car thanks to roof rails and increased luggage space.Technically, the ES GT takes a step forward. Its dual-motor setup produces 540 horsepower, which is 60 hp more than the base sedan. The car comes equipped with air suspension and adaptive dampers, which should provide a balance between comfort and handling. The expected range is around 600 km, although exact specifications have not yet been revealed. The interior promises improved ergonomics, new ambient lighting, and enhanced rear-row transformation capabilities. Entering the European market will be a key move for the Exlantix brand, which aims to establish itself in the premium segment and compete with models like the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo and Audi e-tron GT.Chinese brands are no longer afraid of being compared to the German 'big three'. If Exlantix can offer a similar level of quality at a lower price, it has every chance of becoming a serious player in Europe.
