Audi has announced a recall of 2026 model year Q3 crossovers due to an issue with the panoramic sunroof. The campaign affects 6,077 vehicles in the U.S. and another 1,336 units in Canada.

The cause is an incorrect software configuration in the sunroof control unit. This flaw could allow the sunroof to close from a distance where the driver cannot see the opening, which fails to meet safety standards.

The problem was identified in February 2026 during routine testing. Importantly, no injuries or incidents related to the defect have been reported. To fix the issue, dealers will update the software free of charge. Owners will be notified by the end of May 2026.

All affected vehicles were produced at Audi's plant in Hungary between November 2025 and March 2026. The model is built on the MQB Evo platform and comes equipped with gasoline and diesel engines ranging from 1.5 to 2.0 liters.
