Nissan has no plans to launch a new generation of its Z sports car in the coming years. According to company representatives, the next iteration won't arrive until after 2030. Until then, the automaker will focus on releasing special editions of the current model. Over the next three years, we can expect to see variants inspired by the brand's historical models.

Despite its niche status, demand for the Nissan Z is growing. Last year saw sales of over 5,000 units, a 73.4% increase compared to the previous year. However, sales are expected to dip in 2026 due to the upcoming 2027 model update and adjustments to production volumes.

The current Nissan Z debuted in 2023 and recently received a scheduled refresh. Its lifecycle is estimated to extend into the early 2030s. For buyers, this means Nissan's 2026 sports car lineup will evolve through limited editions rather than a complete generational overhaul.
