Cupra has announced pricing and specifications for the updated Formentor crossover in the Australian market. The model will be available in several variants, including a mild hybrid, a plug-in hybrid, and a high-performance petrol version.The base S trim features a mild-hybrid setup producing 110 kW (147 hp), focusing on everyday efficiency. The V version delivers 150 kW (201 hp), while the hybrid VZe develops 200 kW (268 hp). For this variant, the electric-only range has been increased from 50 km to 100 km, and fast-charging support has been added.The all-wheel-drive VZx puts out 245 kW, and the top-spec VZ5 is equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine from Audi Sport, rated at 287 kW (385 hp). This crossover accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and can reach a top speed of 250 km/h.The update also includes design changes: the model gets a new front end, a redesigned rear with an illuminated logo, and new wheel options. Inside, a 12.9-inch multimedia screen has been installed, and the interface has been refreshed.The starting price is 49,990 Australian dollars (35,693 US dollars), while the top version is priced at 94,990 Australian dollars (67,823 US dollars). Deliveries are set to begin in May 2026.
