Toyota is preparing an updated version of its compact Yaris Cross crossover. The company has released teaser images showing changes to the vehicle's front-end design.

Based on the published photos, the model will feature a new radiator grille with a more complex air intake structure. This approach has previously been used on the larger Corolla Cross. The images also reveal updated wheel designs.

Other changes remain undisclosed. The manufacturer only states that a full presentation of the updated version will take place soon.

The Toyota Yaris Cross continues to be one of the brand's most popular models in Europe. In the Netherlands, nearly 7,000 units were sold in 2025, with over 1,100 sold in 2026. Last year, the model ranked sixth in sales, but currently holds the ninth position.

The crossover has received updates before, but these were limited to model year changes. In late 2023, the interior and equipment underwent significant revisions.

The expected version may be part of the new 2026 model year lineup, maintaining its popularity through the refreshed design and model update.
