BMW and CASETiFY have unveiled a new accessories collection to mark the 40th anniversary of the legendary M3. The standout detail is the use of recycled materials, including aluminum sourced from real vehicles built by the brand.

Accessories made from automotive components

The BMW CASETiFY collection is the companies’ second joint project and is centered on sustainability. Materials for the range are collected through the Re/CASETiFY recycling program.

The key pieces are smartphone cases made with recycled BMW aluminum. They carry the brand’s signature logo and feature details that echo original automotive components.

Technology and design: from the M3 to consumer tech

A separate Innovation Collection introduces limited-edition products with the highest degree of customization. Its design draws on iconic BMW M elements, including the signature stripes and wheel-inspired styling.

Alongside it, the Evergreen Collection has also been revealed, taking inspiration from modern M-series models. Here the focus shifts to a broader-market product with instantly recognizable brand styling.

A new direction for carmakers

The project reflects a growing trend in the automotive industry: using secondary materials beyond the cars themselves. BMW is effectively extending the life cycle of its vehicles by turning their elements into consumer goods.

The company also presented a custom BMW M3 E30, in which recycled plastic from old cases was used in the construction of body components.
