At the 2025 Chengdu Auto Show, where SPEEDME.RU’s reporters are on the ground, IM Auto revealed key details of its new flagship SUV, the IM LS9. The model is positioned as a large six-seat premium crossover and is slated to reach the market in the fourth quarter of this year.The LS9 goes for a clean, assured look. Up front, a star-like LED signature pairs with T-shaped headlight modules to emphasize its broad stance. The hood and bumper feature aerodynamic inserts, while the profile shows flush-mounted door handles, expansive glass surfaces, and restrained chrome accents. With dimensions of 5279x2000x1806 mm and a 3160 mm wheelbase, it clearly plays in the full-size SUV class.Inside, minimalism meets high-end tech. Driver and front passenger get a trio of displays: two linked 5K screens and a separate 3K screen for the passenger. A B&O premium audio system sets the tone, and the LS9 introduces industry-first 4D massage seats that simulate professional techniques. A distinctive cabin ventilation setup and a branded outdoor package aimed at travel round out the comfort brief.Under the skin is a new iteration of the Stellar super-hybrid. It combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with an electric drive powered by a 66 kWh battery co-developed with CATL. Electric range exceeds 450 km, and in combined mode the LS9 can travel more than 1500 km without charging. The system uses an 800-volt architecture with silicon carbide, delivering high efficiency and ultra-fast charging—on paper, a recipe for genuine long-haul ability and swift stops when it’s time to plug in.
