BMW decided to reveal the refreshed 7 Series without the usual explanations or the voice-over that normally comes with a car ad. Instead, the brand released an ASMR video shot at Lake Como during the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

The clip features the M760e LCI in Tanzanite Blue with the new Dual-Finish paint. It’s a BMW Individual option: a glossy metallic finish on top and a matte (Frozen) shade of the same color below — the matte Tanzanite Blue is so dark that it almost reads as black. In Germany the finish costs 14,000 euros. The wheels aren’t off-the-shelf either: the 22-inch two-tone Individual set with V-shaped spokes adds another 1,600 euros.

The 7 Series changes go well beyond the front and rear. The M760e and i7 M70 get new mirrors with M-style accents, while the automatic door-opening buttons have migrated under the handles to keep the side profile cleaner. Inside, the 31.3-inch Theatre Screen is now fully touch-enabled and comes with a camera for video calls. Up front sits a 14.6-inch passenger display next to the 17.9-inch main screen, and the Panoramic Vision projection is included even on entry-level versions.

The M760e won’t arrive at the very start of sales for the refreshed “Seven.” In Germany it lands in November starting at 159,900 euros. With options the sticker easily climbs toward 200,000 euros. BMW still sells its flagship not just as transport, but as a moving office wrapped in expensive silence.
