Chevrolet Bingo Pro EV 2026: Price, Range and Latin America Launch Plans

GM is weighing a Chevrolet version of the Wuling Bingo Pro for Brazil, Mexico and other emerging markets, undercutting the Spark EUV on price.

General Motors could get a new mass-market Chevrolet EV without developing a separate platform: the company is reportedly considering renaming the Chinese Wuling Bingo Pro for Brazil, Mexico and other emerging markets. In China, the five-door hatchback costs 56,800–70,800 yuan, or roughly $8,400–$10,400 at current exchange rates.

GM has not announced a final decision yet. According to industry sources, the model could be licensed through the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture, given a new look and sold under a different name. For Chevrolet, such a car would be the brand’s first fully electric hatchback in several Latin American markets.

The Bingo Pro measures 4,050 mm in length with a 2,560 mm wheelbase, seats five and uses a front-mounted electric motor rated at 65 kW — about 88 hp. Versions with 31.9 kWh and 37.9 kWh LFP battery packs are rated for 330 km and 403 km respectively on the Chinese CLTC cycle. Claimed torque is 110 Nm.

The model has already proven it can attract mass demand: GM’s official report points to more than 31,000 pre-orders for the Bingo Pro in the second quarter of 2026. That lowers the risk for GM, since it would be building on a production car with proven demand rather than an experimental project, especially as a similar rebadging plan for the Wuling Bingo S is reportedly being worked out separately for Chevrolet.

Chevrolet has used this playbook before. The compact Spark EUV is built on the Baojun Yep Plus, and the Captiva EV is related to the Wuling Starlight S.

The Chinese price of the Bingo Pro is almost three times lower than the Spark EUV’s price in Ecuador, where it’s listed at $21,499. A direct comparison is only approximate given differing taxes, equipment and warranty programs, but it highlights the project’s main goal: Chevrolet needs an EV noticeably cheaper than the Spark EUV and Captiva EV crossovers. For now this remains a candidate rather than a confirmed launch — timing, naming and the final sales footprint haven’t been announced.
