2027 Toyota TRD Pro Honeycomb and Hot Honey: what's new on Tundra, Sequoia, Tacoma and 4Runner

Toyota has split its four TRD Pro models not just by size, but by shade. The 2027 Tundra, Tacoma and Sequoia get a new yellow-orange color called Honeycomb, while the 4Runner receives a slightly different shade, Hot Honey. Real hardware upgrades in the official announcement are confirmed mainly for the two largest models.

The Tundra TRD Pro and Sequoia TRD Pro get newly designed FOX Enhanced QS3 shocks, tuned individually for each vehicle. Drivers will be able to adjust damping characteristics to match the terrain. Standard equipment also grows to include red tow hooks.

Tundra also gets available ISO-Dynamic seats, designed to reduce body and head movement on rough roads. Tacoma already offers these seats, built around an air-over-oil shock system. The current pickup also runs adjustable FOX QS3 shocks and the i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain rated at 326 hp.

SPEEDME previously covered the 2026 Toyota Tacoma and its current exclusive Wave Maker color in detail. The new Honeycomb continues the TRD Pro’s visual refresh, but Toyota hasn’t announced any other hardware changes for the 2027 Tacoma yet.

The separate Hot Honey shade for the 4Runner doesn’t come with a confirmed chassis update. The TRD Pro trim already runs the i-FORCE MAX hybrid rated at 326 hp, all-wheel drive, FOX QS3 shocks and 33-inch tires. At this stage, it’s a new look rather than a new powertrain or reworked suspension.

For the Sequoia, the color and shocks are part of a bigger update: the SUV also gets a new 14-inch infotainment system and the Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 suite. That said, before buying an imported model it’s worth weighing problems with the current-generation Sequoia as well.

Toyota will announce pricing for the 2027 Tundra and Sequoia closer to the start of production this fall. Pricing and timing for the Tacoma and 4Runner in Honeycomb and Hot Honey haven’t been announced yet.
