Xiaomi Sky Nomad N90 Max 2026: price, specs and release date

Xiaomi has started shipping its full-size Sky Nomad N90 Max crossover to Chinese dealerships and opened presale reservations at the same time. The flagship version is priced at 299,900 yuan — about $44,200. Demo units have reached dealers so far, with the official sales launch set for September 2026. The N90 Max's arrival at dealers was confirmed by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun.

To place a presale reservation, buyers need to put down a refundable deposit of 1,000 yuan. It secures priority in the production queue.

The crossover measures 5,285 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, with a 3,080 mm wheelbase. The 2+2+3 layout includes two separate second-row seats. The front seats rotate 180 degrees, turning a parked car into a lounge for meetings or rest.

Equipment includes a 16.1-inch central display, a 20-inch head-up display, a 21.4-inch ceiling monitor, a fridge, and second-row seats with a zero-gravity position. Self-leveling wheel caps keep the logos upright while the car is moving.

The 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine produces 112 kW, or about 152 hp, but isn't connected to the wheels — it works purely as a generator. Two electric motors provide all-wheel drive with a combined 310 kW, roughly 422 hp. Top speed is capped at 190 km/h.

The 76 kWh traction battery is comparable to what many full electric vehicles carry. At its technology launch event on July 30, Xiaomi confirmed official figures for the N90 Max: 464 km of electric-only range under the CLTC cycle, and a combined range of 1,705 km with a full tank and a charged battery.

Fuel consumption with the battery depleted is rated at 6.26 L/100 km under WLTC. The engine runs on 92, 95, or 98 octane gasoline. After the first service, the maintenance interval for the range extender is three years or 30,000 km of generator operation, while the generator and electric components carry an eight-year or 160,000 km warranty.

Back in May, SPEEDME.RU reported that Xiaomi was preparing the family-oriented Sky Nomad, based on earlier plans for the Sky Nomad family promising up to 1,500 km of combined range. China's regulator later approved the company for EREV production, opening a direct path into the large-crossover segment held by Li Auto and Aito.

In the first half of 2026, Xiaomi delivered 185,055 vehicles against a full-year target of 550,000. Hitting that goal will require selling roughly 60,800 cars a month on average in the second half. The N90 Max is meant to widen the brand's audience, but its real contribution will only become clear once pricing is finalized and serial deliveries begin.
