BYD Ti7 UK 2026: price, specs and electric range

BYD has opened UK orders for its first seven-seat SUV, the Ti7. The sole Excellence AWD trim costs £47,995. Showroom cars arrive at dealers in November, with customer deliveries starting in January 2027.

The Ti7 introduces BYD's DM-p hybrid system to the UK lineup for the first time. It pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with two electric motors driving all four wheels, for a combined output of 408 hp. 0-62 mph takes 4.8 seconds.

The Blade battery pack, rated at 35.6 kWh, delivers up to 74 miles of pure-electric driving. BYD's original announcement, however, quoted 79 miles of WLTP electric range. The company has yet to publish a final specification sheet, so the confirmed WLTP figure will only be known closer to the car reaching showrooms.

The Ti7 measures 5,146x1,995x1,865mm, making it 316mm longer than the electric Sealion 7 and giving it room for three rows of seats. With all seven seats in use, boot space is just 126 litres. Folding the third row raises that to 970 litres, and folding both the second and third rows increases it to 1,830 litres.

The pricing throws up an unexpected overlap. The base five-seat BYD Sealion 7 Comfort costs £47,025 in the UK, meaning the Ti7 costs just £970 more. At the same time, the seven-seat hybrid is £4,030 cheaper than the all-wheel-drive Sealion 7 Design AWD, priced at £52,025.

Standard equipment on the Ti7 includes 15.6-inch and 10.25-inch screens, two 50W wireless chargers, an 18-speaker audio system, a panoramic roof and three-zone climate control. The front seats and outer second-row seats get heating and ventilation. A built-in fridge can also warm drinks and food.

Standard colours other than silver cost an extra £1,100. Matte grey costs an additional £2,000. Customers who place a £500 deposit will have it matched with a further £500 contribution from BYD.

Ti7 continues the brand's European hybrid offensive. SPEEDME.RU previously covered the compact BYD Dolphin G DM-i, which offers up to 1,040 km of total range and 104 km on electricity alone. BYD is also expanding its European infrastructure: in Germany alone, the number of signed dealership contracts has grown to 200.

For families, the Ti7's main trade-off isn't power or equipment, but the boot: 126 litres with all seven seats in use will mean a roof box or folding one of the third-row seats.
