Genesis GV60 Magma 2026 vs Cadillac Optiq-V: Price and Specs Compared

The first production Genesis to wear the Magma badge is priced at $69,950 in the US, or $71,495 with delivery — first unveiled with 641 hp on tap. That's only $2,200 more than the delivered price of the Cadillac Optiq-V.

For that small premium, Genesis offers noticeably more power. Two electric motors and all-wheel drive in Boost mode produce 641 hp and roughly 790 Nm (583 lb-ft) of torque. Equipment includes Sprint, GT, and Drift modes, a simulated eight-speed transmission, synthetic engine sound, 21-inch forged wheels, and sport seats. Battery capacity stands at 84 kWh.

The Cadillac Optiq-V starts at $67,500 before delivery and $69,295 with it. Its output is lower at 519 hp, but torque reaches 650 lb-ft, or about 881 Nm. The 0-60 mph sprint takes a claimed 3.5 seconds, and EPA-rated range is 278 miles.

Standard equipment also includes adaptive dampers, Brembo front brakes, and the Super Cruise driver-assist suite. So the extra 122 hp doesn't settle the question on its own. The Genesis leans harder into track-focused drive modes and the sensation of a gasoline-powered performance car. The Cadillac counters with more torque, a known EPA range figure, and a more developed driver-assist system for less money.

Availability is also limited: the first GV60 Magma units will reach only select dealers in California, New York, and New Jersey. At launch, the two models sit close in price, but finding a Genesis will be harder.
