Xpeng G9L 2026: price, range and specs

Xpeng has unveiled the new five-seat G9L, a crossover measuring 5,120 mm in length with a 3,100 mm wheelbase. The all-wheel-drive electric model gets two motors with a combined output of 430 kW, or about 585 hp. The expected price is around 300,000 yuan (roughly $44,400), though an official price list has not yet been published.

The 800-volt system can add energy equivalent to 450 km of range in nine minutes. That doesn’t mean a full battery charge in nine minutes: the result depends on charger power, battery temperature and how range is measured.

The G9L pairs a 160 kW front motor with a 270 kW rear motor. Top speed reaches 200 km/h. Chinese certification documents also list a rear-wheel-drive electric version and variants with a 1.5-liter gasoline generator. That means the G9L will be a whole family of trims rather than a single 585 hp version.

Purely electric versions get batteries of 91.9 and 110 kWh. Certified range under the CLTC cycle spans 672 to 805 km — a cycle that typically yields more optimistic numbers than the European WLTP. Hybrid versions get a 63.3 kWh battery and can travel 325–350 km under WLTC before the gasoline generator kicks in.

The cabin seats five and includes a front passenger seat with a relaxation mode, a built-in fridge and an augmented-reality head-up display. Trunk volume is rated at 1,152 liters. Outside, the G9L gets wheels up to 22 inches, hidden door handles and soft-close doors.

The driver-assistance suite runs on the second-generation VLA system with a claimed 2,250 TOPS of computing power. Until the full trim lineup is published, it’s unclear whether the top chip and feature set will be standard across every version. On the current G9, that 2,250 TOPS figure comes from three proprietary Turing chips working alongside the infotainment chip.
