Ford Fathom 2027: Price, Screens, and What We Know So Far

The Ford Fathom is set to become one of the most affordable new electric pickups in the US, but the cabin doesn't look like it's headed for bare-bones territory. A wide panoramic display ahead of the driver may join the already-confirmed central touchscreen. At the 21-second mark of Ford's official teaser video for the Fathom, what appears to be a sketch of a panoramic display sits right in front of the driver — similar to the setup used in the 2025-and-later Ford Expedition.

The comparison is tempting: the current Expedition pairs a 24-inch panoramic panel with a separate 13.2-inch touchscreen. But those numbers can't simply be carried over to the Fathom. Ford has only officially promised a “large” screen running Apple Maps, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, without naming a diagonal for the second panel.

That matters for a truck with a base price of $28,350. Add the mandatory $1,595 destination fee and the minimum out-the-door price hits $29,945. The Fathom will also get a digital key, bidirectional power capability, and BlueCruise-ready hardware, with a five-seat cabin Ford says will beat the Toyota RAV4 on passenger volume.

The pickup will be the first model built on the Universal EV Platform and will enter production in Louisville in 2027. On the starting price of $28,350 — just $55 below the promised $30,000 mark — we already reported.

So right now, the size of a possible second screen matters less than Ford's overall strategy. The company is trying to keep the Fathom under $30K with delivery included, without turning it into a maximally stripped-down EV. Confirmation of the panoramic panel will show just how far Ford is willing to go with that trade-off.
