Volkswagen T-Roc Match 2026: UK Price, Specs and Release Date

Just £500 — about $670 — separates the new Volkswagen T-Roc Match from the comparable Life. UK orders open on August 13: the 116 hp 1.5 eTSI version is priced at £32,135, while the 150 hp variant costs £34,200. Both engines pair with a 7-speed DSG automatic.

That £500 doesn’t buy a badge. Match adds 18-inch Torina alloy wheels, tinted rear glass, heated front seats and steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, built-in navigation and the IDA voice assistant.

The pricing checks out against the current UK T-Roc configurator: the 116 hp Life now starts at £31,635. Volkswagen also confirms 0% APR on its Solutions PCP plan for orders placed by September 30, with a maximum 24-month term. As of August 10, the configurator still lists only Life, Style and R-Line — Match will join the lineup once orders open on August 13.

It’s a rare case where a step up in trim costs only about 1.6% of the base car’s price. For comparison, in a recent comparison of the T-Roc, Kia Sportage and Volvo XC40 the base Sportage was priced at £31,395. Match now costs just £740 more than that Kia, though a direct comparison should account for gearbox and standard equipment differences.

The second-generation T-Roc uses a 48-volt mild-hybrid setup, and even the base version comes with DSG as standard. More powerful versions will join the range later; Volkswagen is separately preparing a sportier T-Roc R with 4Motion all-wheel drive.

For UK buyers, the choice comes down to simple math: if you want that kit, £500 over Life looks far more modest than buying those options separately. The next checkpoint is August 13, when the new trim should appear in the official UK configurator.
