Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport-X 2026: UK price, L2 vs L3, specs and towing capacity

Mercedes-Benz has moved the Vito Sport-X from its August reveal into actual UK sales, with orders open from September 2026. Two versions are available: the L2 at £69,985 and the L3 at £71,251 on an OTR basis.

The longer body costs just £1,266 more. Payload rises from 556 to 733 kg, an increase of 177 kg, while usable load volume grows from 3.6 to 4.1 cubic metres. In other words, for roughly 1.8% more than the L2 price, buyers get a meaningfully more practical working configuration.

Both versions use a 2.0-litre diesel producing 190 PS and 440 Nm, paired with the nine-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission. Combined fuel consumption is quoted at around 7.3 l/100 km. Standard towing capacity is up to 2 tonnes, rising to 2.5 tonnes with the relevant option. Mercedes-Benz UK confirms that Sport-X has been available to order since September 2026 and retains the practical basis of the Vito Crew.

Compared with the regular PRO and SELECT trims, Sport-X changes more than the body kit and 19-inch wheels. The three-seat front bench is replaced by two individual seats, so the cabin carries five people. Equipment includes heated front seats and steering wheel, wireless charging, a reversing camera, blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking and lane-keeping assistance.

Sport-X was already covered in detail when it was unveiled in August, when the starting figure of £56,995 excluding VAT, the engine and the main equipment details were known. The arrival of exact retail prices for both body lengths now makes the L2-versus-L3 comparison much more useful for buyers.
