Li 6 2026 in Europe: launch timing, 720 km range and difference from Li L6

Europe-bound Li 6 and the Li L6 are not the same vehicle. Li Auto has confirmed that the fully electric five-seat i6 will be sold overseas under the Li 6 name. The distinction matters because the familiar L6 belongs to the brand’s range-extended electric vehicle family.

Li Auto has already taken its first practical step in Europe. The company supplied 20 i6 vehicles to transport players and VIP guests at the Solheim Cup in the Netherlands and described the partnership as the start of its European push. In October, the crossover will appear at the Paris Motor Show as the Li 6, where the company also plans to reveal its global model line-up and the next stage of its European business plan. Sales are scheduled for Q4 2026, but the first countries, prices and sales-network format have not yet been announced.

The technical difference from the Li L6 starts with the architecture. The Chinese i6 was launched as a full BEV with no internal-combustion engine. Li Auto announced an 800-volt electrical architecture, a 5C battery and up to 720 km of range on the Chinese CLTC cycle. A refreshed 2026 model-year i6 is also being prepared in China with Li Auto’s own battery and a Mach chip for driver-assistance systems. Final European Li 6 specifications have not yet been published.

The Li L6 is built around a different concept. It belongs to Li Auto’s range-extended family: the wheels are driven electrically, while a gasoline engine works as a generator, so the model is not a pure BEV.

That means one letter in the badge is not enough to identify the car. Li 6 is the overseas name of the electric i6, while Li L6 is a separate range-extended SUV from the L family. Anyone comparing imported or cross-market listings should check the powertrain type, market of origin, charging specification and warranty terms rather than relying on the badge alone.
