Range Rover Evoque 2027 price in Japan: trims, equipment and engines

The Range Rover Evoque for the 2027 model year starts at 6.8 million yen in Japan, but the revised price list is not simply a conventional increase. The former S P200 at 6.7 million yen has been replaced by the Dynamic S P200: the difference is 100 thousand yen, while 19-inch wheels, LED headlights with signature daytime running lights and an interactive digital instrument cluster are now standard. Jaguar Land Rover Japan began taking orders on September 10.

The diesel follows a similar pattern: the S D200 at 7.57 million yen has given way to the Dynamic S D200 at 7.65 million, an increase of 80 thousand yen. The retained Hoxton versions offer a cleaner comparison: the P200 rose from 7.29 to 7.42 million yen, while the D200 went from 8.33 to 8.46 million. In both cases, the difference is 130 thousand yen. JLR Japan listed those former prices for the 2026 model year.

The most expensive Hoxton version is now the Hoxton Edition Black D200 at 8.72 million yen. It is diesel-only and adds black brake calipers, a contrasting roof, the Black Exterior Pack, 20-inch gloss-black wheels and its own interior trim. No limited production run has been announced.

The powertrains are essentially unchanged. The D200 is a 2.0-liter diesel MHEV producing 204 hp and 430 Nm, the P200 is a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 200 hp and 320 Nm, and the P250 develops 249 hp and 365 Nm. The P300e combines a 1.5-liter turbo engine with an electric motor for a total of 309 hp and 540 Nm. The P250 has risen by 100 thousand yen to 9.63 million, while the P300e remains at 10.34 million yen.

There is another caveat in the Japanese price list. The official Range Rover website lists a separate surcharge for economic fluctuations of 160 thousand yen before tax, or 176 thousand yen including the 10% tax. It appears separately in the dealer calculation, so the published starting price of 6.8 million yen should not automatically be treated as the final contract amount.

Hoxton first appeared in Japan in April as part of the first wave of London Editions alongside the Range Rover Velar Belgravia. In May, the series expanded with the Range Rover Westminster and Range Rover Sport Battersea. Hoxton has now moved from a stand-alone styling edition into the regular Evoque range and has gained an additional Black version.

When comparing a stock 2026 Evoque with a 2027 car, it makes sense to look not only at the 80–130 thousand yen difference but also at the standard equipment. The main model-year changes concern trims and pricing; the engines and hybrid system were not changed for the new model-year designation.
