Dongfeng Motor Corporation has earned international recognition: its Dongfeng E-Truck concept electric pickup has taken the Red Dot Design Award 2025 in the “Best of the Best” category. Winners are selected by a respected international jury that evaluates not only appearance but also engineering solutions. The Dongfeng E-Truck impressed the experts with a mix of minimalist aesthetics, practical functionality, and an adaptive architecture.Built on the Skateboard Chassis platform, the concept blends the roles of a pickup and a crossover. It can shift between use cases—from urban commuting to camping—while a modular body structure lets the cabin adapt to different tasks. The E-Truck features all-wheel steering, a Steer-by-Wire system, and a “crab mode” to help with maneuvering in tight spaces.The rear section can transform into a camping module with a pull-out tent and a solar panel to support off-grid use.
