At the Japan Mobility Show 2025, Toyota unveiled a concept for the next Corolla, reimagining the world’s most popular car from the ground up. The concept sedan wears a sleek, fastback-like silhouette and a minimalist cabin that puts the driver at the center.

Its design fuses elements from the brand’s recent experiments—from the 2023 Sport Crossover Concept to the Land Cruiser Se electric SUV—now rendered in a more expressive, sport-oriented form.

The project revolves around a multi-pathway approach. According to Toyota, the future Corolla could be a hybrid, a plug-in hybrid, or a fully electric vehicle while maintaining a unified design language and the brand’s philosophy.

The company emphasizes that, regardless of propulsion, the goal stays the same: to create appealing cars that owners can feel proud of and enjoy driving. That aim aligns with the driver-focused interior and the tauter stance, suggesting a push toward engagement without excess.

Toyota plans to share details on technology and the timeline for series production later, but the message is already clear: the Corolla Concept signals a fresh chapter in the model’s storied history.
