Jaecoo unveiled its innovative J7 SHS and J8 SHS crossovers at the 4th International EV Auto Show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, held October 28–30. A key event for the country’s alternative-energy vehicle scene, the show gave the brand a platform to signal its growing potential in the region.Two headline models showcased the advantages of the Super Hybrid System. Jaecoo’s SHS delivers strong performance and power while pushing range and energy efficiency forward for the wider industry. The technology is described as ideally adapted to the Middle East’s operating conditions, which makes sense given the region’s long distances and demanding climate.The Jaecoo J7 SHS, equipped with a 279 hp engine, offers up to 1,200 km of range and standout fuel efficiency of 37.7 km/l (approximately 2.65 l/100 km). That balance of pace and frugality makes it an appealing choice for drivers who don’t want to compromise. The model holds five-star safety ratings from Euro NCAP and ANCAP, scoring above 80% across all metrics—right in line with the industry’s heavyweights.The flagship Jaecoo J8 SHS was shown in two versions: front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The FWD variant offers a record 1,350 km of range with 306 hp, while the AWD model delivers a combined 428 hp and can travel up to 140 km on electric power alone. It made its Middle East debut at the show, with sales scheduled for January 2026.The warranty package underscores the brand’s confidence in its crossovers. SHS models carry a 6-year or 250,000-km vehicle warranty and 8-year or 160,000-km coverage for electric system components.
