Hyundai has rounded out the 2026 Tucson’s powertrain lineup, adding a diesel option and a PHEV. The range now includes a 1.6 CRDi diesel rated at 136 hp with 48-volt technology and a seven-speed automatic. Buyers can choose front- or all-wheel drive, which neatly covers different driving needs without overcomplicating the spec sheet.

The headline addition is the plug-in hybrid. Output rises to 288 hp, combining a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with a new electric motor. A 13.8-kWh battery delivers up to 63 km of electric-only driving. The PHEV is offered with front- or all-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic, a setup that adds welcome punch while keeping everyday usability front and center.

The sport-flavored N Line remains in the mix, distinguished by black exterior accents and a cabin with mixed materials. Across the board, the Tucson gains an updated suite of driver assists and refined safety system tuning. In Europe, the 2026 model is already on sale without a price increase, a move that should keep it a conspicuous contender among fresh arrivals.
